Progress of the Week - July Week 4

Welcome lads to another weekly blog! (This is the worst intro I've came up with so far) We are happy to anounce some good news and progress besides. Let's get into this!

 

What we did last week: The Rise of Hackon: I scripted some message boxes that pop up before starting the game. Yes, that means I know how Ruby works (barely). There are still a lot of commands in there I don't even have heard of, but at least I have managed to read and understand basic scripts now. (plus I can wrtie faster now. yay) I have been learning scripting in Ruby for 3 hours and 12 minutes according to my tracked stats. (This blockade is only going to be about learning RPG Maker VX Ace Scripting/Coding. Feel free to skip lower) That besides for being able to script in RPG Maker VX Ace you first need to learn how Ruby works, I recommend you the tutorial on the website of Ruby, which is also linked in here (http://tryruby.org/levels/1/challenges/0) Then after completing it make sure that you can understand what basic scirpts do. If not then try doing it again, or search for some basic Ruby tutorials to know more about that. Believe me after watching a couple of videos you know what you are doing. Just think with the video going on. Then you should be ready for RGSS3 coding which is the advanced coding language, RPG Maker VX Ace's coding language. Look for tutorials from DiamondandPlatinum3 on RGSS3 coding. That is it how you get RPG Maker VX Ace coding. That was enough rambling about how-tos so let's continue on our progress. The game-intro has been worked on in a life stream, if you want to watch it, the link is here aswell. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wki6XT7s-6I) So there is a good amount of rambling of the Narrator and Hackon at the start of our game. There is also music progress. Like the progress on Castle Trip, I worked on it also seable on the "Game Development" stream. I made 3 frames in Castle Trip in total. (a frame is a loop kind of block in the song in FamiTracker) Also I composed a new simple song, Choromozone, which was stuck in my head for a few days. In total it has a length of 6 Frames. Don't worry Kerem has also done some stuff this week. He worked on the first battle background. There will be definetely at least one battle in the game in the scene. We won't say anything about the battle though, because of spoilers. It will be up to you to find out about the secret. He also drew the item Showersaltbombs, but it needs to be discused. HF DRake Website: We have released the 1.1.4 Update of our Website! It includes these promised things: - An average Company worth chart of the last two weeks - A mobile version fix

 

What we will do untill next week: The Rise of Hackon: - Working on the character skin of Hackon (I know we should be done with it for a long time, but drawing Hakcon from the side is so hard >_< ) - Discussing the Showersaltbombs Graphics - Finishing the Treetileset - Animating the bush HF DRake Website: - Making the Website Shadow & Light - Adding a "Contact us" section (an associal move because we hadn't added this for the whole while...)
